Irish Red

RECOMMENDATION: DON'T BUY THIS ONE!

Flavor was weak. This is OK if you want to pound but I'm looking for alittle more body from an Irish Red...especially from Sam. When you factor in the Sam-Tax (high price) it makes this brew one to avoid.

Name: Irish Red
Brewery: Sam Adams
Website: http://www.samueladams.com/
Genre: Red Ale
Alcohol: 5.5%
Price: 80 out of 100
Poundability: 75 out of 100

Long Hammer IPA

STILL in Vegas...life is tough!

I picked up a sixer of Long Hammer IPA and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hoppy, solid IPA. No more than 2 per sitting (LOW poundability vs. the ealier Cerveza.)

RECOMMENDATION: Great for drowning away these TERRIBLE NFL games on Thanksgiving.

Name: Long Hammer IPA
Brewery: Red Hook
Website: http://www.redhook.com/
Genre: Pale Ale
Alcohol: 6.5%
Price: 82 out of 100
Poundability: 31 out of 100
Taste: 79.6 out of 100

San Lucas Cerveza Light

So I'm in Vegas for Thanksgiving...Vegas baby...VEGAS!

Before I hit up the early line on Michigan State for the NCAA basketball championship I thought I'd try a few San Lucas Cerveza Light's.

Similar to a Corona (obviously) it was EASY to tip back my sixer.

The pricing was low for a Cerveza but not as low as a PBR.

Flavor was good...for mexican piss water.

RECOMMENDATION: If you want to drink a Cerveza that isn't Corona this is not a bad option.

Name: San Lucas Cerveza light
Brewery: Cerveceria La Constancia S.A. / BevCo Ltd
Website: http://www.laconstancia.com/
Genre: Cerveza
Alcohol: 4.1%
Price: 50 out of 100
Poundability: 82 out of 100
Taste: 70.1 out of 100

Shock Top

I could make up some elaborate lie about how I just can't live without wheat beer so it had to be my first choice for a review on 2G6P but I wont...I was too lazy to go out so I sent my wife to pick up my first beer choice...and here I sit after 6 Shock Tops feeling...well...shocked.

These went down smooth...especially while watching the Simpsonless Romos (my fantasy football team) dominate the weekend.

As and A-B product this beer is priced nicely for the punch (5.2% alcohol) and the taste.

They say you pour it until a half inch remains and roll the bottle on it's side and pour the remainder...I just drank them straight from the bottle. While I'm generally not a big wheat beer guy these tasted great.

RECOMMENDATION: Excellent beer for summer BBQ or sitting by the pool.

Name: Shock Top
Brewery: Anheuser-Busch
Website: http://www.anheuser-busch.com/brandPages/micShockTop.html
Genre: Wheat
Alcohol: 5.2%
Price: 60 out of 100
Poundability: 70 out of 100
Taste: 71.3 out of 100

Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale

I picked up this pale ale strictly for it's name...seriously...Doggie Style? How could this beer not live up to the classic sounds of Snoop Dog? It comes from the Flying Dog Brewery so I guess it isn't really THAT creative.

With a hefty 5.5% alcohol content and the pale ale nature this is definitely a sipping beer to be enjoyed over time (vs. fed through a plastic funnel directly down your throat.)

The price was slightly above neutral - more than BUD, less than some high falutin' microbrews.

Flavor was very good. If you are into pale ales you'll definitely enjoy it Doggie Style.

Name: Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale
Brewery: Flying Dog Brewery
Website: http://www.flyingdogales.com/
Genre: Pale Ale
Alcohol: 5.5%
Price: 65 out of 100
Poundability: 60 out of 100
Taste: 72.8 out of 100
